SWEN303 project: IMPROVE MATERNAL HEALTH Most maternal deaths could be avoided Giving birth is especially risky in Southern Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, where most women deliver without skilled care The rural-urban gap in skilled care during childbirth has narrowed

Project features● Show a step by step guide with Instructions on delivering a baby● Contains a search bar that can be used to quickly search through vast amounts of symptoms and complications to find useful medical advice on what is happening● Contains an emergency call button used to contact an emergency worker with medical knowledge for an audio conversation.

Target User: People Requiring Help● People who dont have access to proper medical care● Possibly illiterate● Possibly very poor.● About to/already in Labour

Other Target User: Medically Trained Helper● Have at least basic medical training● Will step callers through the child birth● Primarily to help with the most urgent cases

People Requiring Help GUI● Easy to understand picture diagrams for people that could be illiterate● Clean clinical colours that wont distract from important information● A search bar for people who are somewhat literate to search quickly for different symptom advice

Medically Trained Helper GUI● A list of incoming calls● Able to a caller and start a conversation● Able to end a call● Able to pause and start conversations effectively putting people on hold
