    • History of Fidelity Investments
      • How did fidelity Investments Start?
        • 1943-1972: Edward C. Johnson 2 nd took over the Fidelity Fund, and in 1946 he created the Fidelity Management and Research Company to be an investment advisor to the Fidelity Fund.
        • 1973-2000: Edward C. Johnson 3 rd took over Fidelity. He wanted Fidelity to remain privately owned to remain free of the short-term market.
        • 21 st Century: Fidelity reached its $1 trillion milestone in assets.
      • Why are they successful?
        • They are successful for many reasons. They have a strong work force and a great management of their money and time. They also chose to remain a private business, thus keeping them from some of the market downfalls.
