HB233 is a bill that was signed into law that creates an “advisory committee to establish and recommend qualifications for certain healthcare translators and interpreters.” The use of the word certain , depending upon how ‘interpreted’ by the Advisory Committee, may limit the impact of the law (specifically clinical v. non-clinical).

The actual number of members will be determined by the THHSC, but must include those listed.
