Slide 2: St. Nectarios: A Saint of the Modern Era St. Nectarios (1846-1920), and Wonderworker of Aegina, was officially recognized as a Saint by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1961. His Feast Day is celebrated every year on 9 November. Thousands of miracles have been attributed to his intercession, particularly cases of cancer or other serious illnesses being cured.The list of his miracles grows longer every day, and his shrine in Aegina has become the most popular place of pilgrimage in Greece. At Saint Nectarios' Tomb,many faithful can hear the Saint Blessing them if you put your ear to the tomb and listen.
