o Which components am I required to include? (small groups, guided
reading, independent reading)
o Which components would I like to include? (read aloud, book
commercials, read around)
o What can I change to carve out time for independent reading?
o Remember the Rule of Thirds: 1/3 independent reading, 1/3 direct
instruction & guided practice, 1/3 independent practice
