Understand how attaining mastery in that field will apply towards my life's calling. Tactics: - Read Mastery by Robert Greene (2012). - Begin to apply the concepts immediately. - Find a current master (mentor) in my field. Understand the discipline, patience, and other characteristics that create a master. Occupational Outlook Handbook. Retrieved from http://www.bls.gov/ooh/entertainment- and-sports/home.htm 31-MAR-2014, 05-MAY-2014 Executive Leadership Goal: To pursue the psychological construct of an executive. To empower or to dominate? Tactics: - Read Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell (2005). - Interview one personally known executive and gain their insight on leadership. - Describe how that executive's insights can be applied to my own mastery journey. Discover for myself the type of executive leader that I prefer to be - or if I desire to be one. LexisNexis®Acedemic (search executives name and contact information). 05-MAY-2014, 02-JUN-2014 Project and Team Management Goal: To adapt to various situations (goals, organizational personalities, budgets) and still achieve the strategic result. Tactics: - Practice accepting individuals for who they are and not want I want or need them to be. - Review the course materials from UF's Leadership Training Institute project management course. - Through trial and error, begin to create a team that will help achieve my life's calling. Tactics: - Understand why some forms of marketing work while others fail (specific focus on social media). - Research (if possible) composers / musicians of the current generation that had immense talent yet failed due to lack of appropriate brand development. - Apply learned knowledge to my own business and life's calling. Tactics: - Understand the artist's motivation: artistic or monetary? - Protect those artists with extreme talent but minimal business experience. - Continue to pursue a "deal" for my own company and learn from that experience. Sign three new artists to contracts this year while continuing to pursue my own desired similar result for my company.
