  • 12. 13MBA Programs · The Global executive MBA Your identity as a Global Executive MBA student at IESE begins with you, placed at the center of your learning. That identity starts as a member of a study group, a class, a team or a group of friends, and continues to evolve as a graduate when you join the ranks of more than 40,000 IESE alumni worldwide. “The impact of this program has never ended. it has changed the ENTIRE way I view my business. In my country, there is a fear that people who invest in your business WILL TAKE it over. But after my IESE experience, I became quite liberated in terms of opening up my company to new investors. While I was in the program, I decided to approach the largest French manufacturer of office seating, Sokoa SA of France, about a joint venture in Nigeria. This was my first test of the theory I learned in school. I used my proposed venture with Sokoa for my business plan in our entrepreneurship course. My entire class was able to review what I wanted to do and my professor of entrepreneurship GAVE an opinion about it. Sokoa agreed to my plan on the condition that I BE THE CEO of that company. They did not expect to get any dividends for five years, but we started paying dividends IN the second year.” Ibukun Awosika (GEMBA ‘04) FOUNDER AND GROUP CEO The Chair Centre Group NigeriaN
