Keep your Personal Information safe
Review ID Theft precautions – see handout
Make sure the website you are ordering from has taken steps to insure your information is safe
i.e. Https:// OR Lock symbol
Knowing the website or company
you are ordering from lessens
your chance of being ripped off
Things to remember before you begin

Important things to think about
Always check the return policy
Check the cutoff date for Christmas delivery (or any other time of the year)
Remember that even online special services sometimes take longer
i.e. engraving, monogramming, or personalizing
Many online retailers allow you to ship directly to the recipient.
This can be a great time and postage saver, but the company will most likely charge extra for wrapping and/or a card.
Or they may not provide that service at all.

Add gift to shopping cart I want this IPOD So I click on “ Add to Shopping Cart”

Proceed to checkout I am finished shopping so I “Proceed to Checkout”

Register your information

It walks you through the steps to check out First Shipping & Payment then Gift Wrap finally Place Order

At the end of the ordering process the last step will show you your complete order. Amazon also sends a copy to your email.
