      • What is the meaning of “developing a personal vision of learning technology?”
      • Why is this activity important to you as a current or future teacher?
      • Is the document you produce intended to be simply archived and forgotten or will it become a lifelong guiding influence for your teaching with technology?
    3. Role of Technology
      • Technology alone does not guarantee excellent teaching/learning experiences
      • Technology facilitates the learning process
      • Teaching strategies, learner characteristics, teacher collaboration, and learning environments or settings are combined in the presence of the tools of technology to craft the learning experience
    4. A vision includes…
      • a reflection of past experiences with technology
      • an assessment of current skills and attitudes
      • inclusion of personal ideas
      • broad statements with only the most important details
    5. Importance of a Vision
      • Clearly demonstrates where you are and where you want to be with using teaching/learning technology
      • Delineates your role, your relationships with supervisors, peers, and students, and with technology
      • Helps guide you to a desired outcome as an outstanding teacher who knows how to effectively employ technology to engage students and improve their lives through learning.
      • Provides inspiration to you each day as an inner source of self-motivation
