Altran Italia ha ospitato nella sede di Roma il “JBOSS November Meeting” il 27 novembre 2009.
JBoss è un application server open source che sviluppa i servizi Java EE. E’ supportato e migliorato da un’enorme rete di sviluppatori. E’ multipiattaforma ed è quindi utilizzabile su qualsiasi sistema operativo che supporti Java.
Il gruppo di sviluppo di JBoss in principio lavorava per la “JBoss Inc.”. Nell’aprile del 2006 JBOSS è stato acquistato da Red Hat.
