DAX Solution Architect position
Job purpose
XXX is implementing Dynamics AX 2012 in XYZ offices in EMEA as ERP system. Apart from an
upgrade to version 2012 for these countries, also in new countries Dynamics AX will be implemented
soon.
On a daily basis, you will steer the roll out and upgrades regarding core solution, customisations,
localisations (where applicable purchased from local VAR’s), Enterprise Portal (including the Client
Access Portal) and other functionalities to be enhanced within Dynamics over the coming years.
Key responsibilities
Identify and recommend product customizations and enhancements
Develop Business Requirement Documents, gap-analyses, blue-prints, functional specifications for
Dynamics AX enhancements and integrations to other business applications
Function as an expert for application configuration and design, optimizing features, user experience,
data integrity, system performance
Drive the effective transition of requirements to delivery and development consultants, ensuring a
clear and complete understanding of the requirements for a successful delivery
Preparation implementation documentation
Collaborate, manage and lead meetings with Functional/Business Consultants and Technical
Consultants/Developers to ensure each phase of the AX implementation is being executed with the
solutions provided/recommended in a timely manner
Ability to present to key stakeholder groups (management, local offices, IT functions, etc.) the
Dynamics AX core solution
Engage with project team to gather best practices and guidance in an effort to integrate and improve
methodologies and user experience
Key requirements
Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX platform and possess skills in how to architect
solutions on a functional and technical level that will deliver high quality results and utilize the
features and functions correctly and effectively
At least 7 years, proven track record of successful delivery of complex/large-scale DAX
implementations
Experience with multiple full life cycle implementations Microsoft Dynamics AX
Currently working with DAX 2012
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel (up to 50%)

General brief job description
The solution architect could seat in Netherlands or in Bulgaria as well.
The aim is in the next two years to upgrade this solution to EMEA region and after to South America
and Asia as well. Also from the client side that upgrade from version 4 to version 12 should be done
while facing the followings: functionality, fine tunings, mobile solution and etc. In respect to this, XXX
as a partner, would like to use as well as to provide their clients with the fullest and latest Dynamics
AX solution.
This person will be one of the key people in recently started project of implementation and upgrade
of the internal ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics AX (from 4.0 to 2012 R3).
The role is, together with the Project Manager, to assure the successful and seamlessly conducting
of the project and commissioning of the system according to the requirements of the supplier and
the specifics of the Client's business.
As technical background he must to come from the same business field – implementation of large
scale ERP systems – mandatory is Microsoft Dynamics AX. XXX needs somebody who is able to
see the directions of all that process, making sure the objectives are not contradicting, and also from
a strategic point of view - they are moving in the right direction both from a technical perspective
and functionality.
