    • An active user is one who accesses the internet at least once a month.
    • The numbers are in millions
  • 4. Geographical Distribution Small town usage greater than Metro usage!

    • e-kiosks
    • affordable internet plans
    • Cyber cafes
  • 5. Social-Economic Classifications: SEC are decided on the basis of education and occupation of chief wage earner. There are 8 categories: A1, A2, B1, B2, C, D, E1 & E2
  • 6. SECwise Distribution
  • 7. Internet Usage for low SEC zones still a challenge!
  • 8. Agewise Distribution Young Men and College Students dominate the Spectrum!
  • 9. These youth drive the Internet usage. They use it mainly for Education and Entertainment
  • 10. Access Points
  • 11. Cyber Cafe leading access point. Most Cyber Cafes still have old, outdated softwares. Thus large number of users unaware of alternative browsing and computer operating technology!
  • 12. Usage at offices increasing! Offices now have email customer service, websites and even social media presence on Facebook, Twitter etc..
