  • 2. Digestive System
    It is a long, twisting tube that runs from the mouth to the anus
    If one of your organs stop working then everything will fail
    body to get the nutrients
    It gets the energy it needs from the food you eat
  • 3. The Mouth
    Where the food enters and breaks down
    Where the digestion starts
  • 4. The Esophagus
    A 25 to 30 cm long tube
    connects to the mouth and the stomach
  • 5. The Stomach
    Is 30.5 cm in length and very hollow
    starts to break down food more
    so that it can go to the small intestine
  • 6. The Liver
    Is the second largest organ in our body
    helps in the digestion
    absorption of fats
  • 7. The Pancreas
    Produces pancreatic juices and hormones
    helps break down fats.
  • 8. The Small Intestine
    protects the body from infections
    longest portion of the digestive tract
  • 9. The Large Intestine
    absorbs water and salts
    maintains the fluid balance in our body
