Designing Talking Devices delivered by Karen Kaushansky of Jawbone at Device Design Day 2011 hosted by Kicker Studio.

Jawbone designs world-class wireless headsets and speakers/speakerphones built for the mobile lifestyle. Not only are these devices used to communicate and stream audio content, but they also deliver intelligent and timely audio experiences/notifications directly to the user. These devices talk to you, tell you who’s calling, tell you how much battery you have left and when it’s running low, and provide feedback as you’re completing tasks.

In this talk, Karen Kaushansky will share lessons learned from creating audio experiences for various Jawbone products and design guidelines that can be applied to any consumer device that offers feedback to its users.
