  • As much as there are areas of major improvement still needed in funding and accountability, there has been so much accomplished as well. Consider the 100,000 people who returned to safe homes that have been earthquake strengthened as a part of the Yellow House Repair Program : http://www.miyamotointernational.com/media/earthquake-chronicles/haiti-yellow-house-repair-program-2012/

    We are also currently building or strengthening 34 schools throughout Haiti.

    Is there more that can be done? Sure?But, is there real progress being made? Absolutely. Just ask the 1,400+ students of Cite Soleil school who will soon have a safe school and no longer be forced to learn in makeshift plywood structures.
