    • Create public space for active and passive recreation
    • Landbased and water based recreation activities should be encouraged

    • Connect inland and harbourfront open space to increase visual and physical permeability
    • Integrate open space with waterfront promenades/ ferry pier/ landing steps/ retail/ dining to create a focal point
    • Waterfront promenade of adequate width for strolling, jogging, pedestrian circulation, street furniture, tree planting and landscaping & reserve for utility installation

    • Use vacant land for temporary public open space
    • Focal feature in open space and public realm for identity
    • Development site to set back for waterfront promenade

    • Buildings/ structure/ areas/ places of historical significant or cultural value should be preserved in the most appropriate manner
    • Surrounding development or redevelopment should be compatible in nature and scale with these heritage features
