Hello Management Initiative friends! This presentation is a quick look into how creative thinkers can dramatically improve their use of time so they can make more progress and have more time for family and friends. This presentation is my way of saying thank you for your support at the event. I want to expose you to as many excellence skills possible so you can build a business based on kindness. So this is just the first of many ways in which I hope we’ll stay in touch. If you have any question at all about this presentation don’t hesitate to contact me.     • Overcome procrastination
    • No more rigid rules, charts, logs, etc.
    • Know your workflow to decide what you need to delegate, outsource, or dismiss

    • Eliminate your time wasting habits
    • Identify what will help you move forward faster at any given time
    • Use less time putting off fires every day
    • Eliminate redundancy and build an efficient system

    • 1. Focus 2. Awareness
    There Are Only Two Rules
    • Where are you going and how is what you are doing right now related?
    • Planning and prioritizing
    • Seeing the whole system
    • So you can
    • Zoom in on the most influential actions you can do to promote your goal
    • Identify what you’re not doing that if you did would get you faster to your goal
    Focus Means
    • Know where you are going
    • Ask yourself constantly why you are doing a certain task
    • Ask yourself if this is the best way to achieve the task or if perhaps there is a better way
    • Find who’s the best person to do the task
    • Pause
    • Honor your limitations as a human being
    • Choose to be 100% selfish
    What Should You Do?
    • There’s someone who gets paid less than you who can do it reasonably well
    • There’s someone else better at it
    • You can’t complete the important stuff and this is not critical to the achievement of the goal
    Who Needs To Do It
    • TASK
    • Choose one random thing you spend your time on today and check the following expenses:
    • What else would you do if you didn’t have to do that?
    • Which opportunities are you missing by spending your time on doing it?
    • What is the best quality-cost balance and who has it?
    You shouldn’t be doing it if
    • Do you ask yourself why you do things?
    • Are you making a choice about what to do?
    • What do you do when you feel confused?
    What is Awareness Made Of?
    • Know your rhythm
    • The speed you identify that you are out of rhythm
    • Knowing your own transition mechanism: from ineffective to effective
    • Your ability to apply transitional mechanisms
    • Minimizing what doesn’t work
    Five Secrets of Time Management
    • It’s better to fine tune yourself than try to adopt things that work for different people
    • You can’t turn into someone else
    • So let’s stop with the rigid rules
    Discover your own rhythm TASK Acknowledge how different you are, what is unique about the way you keep track of your tasks, your progress, how you move between tasks etc. Don’t criticize it, try to honor it because something about it works for you!

    • Late – external, avoidance, long
    • Surfing the web endlessly
    • Watching TV more than usual
    • Starting a task then moving to the next task without completing the first
    • Reading and writing emails when you know you should be doing something else
