  • 4. THE CHILDREN CAME ACROSS MANY PROBLEMS IN THE SOCIETY THEN ONE OF THEM CAME UP WITH AN IDEA OF HELPING THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED CHILDREN WHOM THEY SEE DAILY IN THE SCHOOL ITSELF. ADDING TO THAT THE OTHERS ALSO SUPPORTED. THEY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION TO HELP ONE HANDI CAPPED GIRL CHILD AND A DUM AND DEAF BOY. THEY PLANNED TO GO TO THEIR HOUSES AND TALK TO THEM AND STAY WITH THEM FOR SOME TIME AND SHARE THEIR FEELING AND OPINIONS
  • 5. Step – 1 FEEL
    • The children went to the poor children’s House of our own School Children.
    • Children interacted with the parents and the children in the house.
  • 6. Step – 2 IMAGINE
    • Children sat together with the teacher mentor and discussed what it means to be a physically challenged.
    • Children discussed the problems of these children and the problems of the parents facing in their houses.
    • The children in order to experience these things tied their legs and started to walk as well as they shut their mouth for long hours and they found the problems of these children.

    • The children got an idea of the problems that are faced by these children.
    • They came to know how difficult it is during some accidents during their daily life.
    • They also came to know the communication problems of these children.
  • 8. Step – 3 DO
    • Children collected the donations from the people around the school as well as near to their houses.
    • The children collected nearly Rs. 3200 within three days they were very happy and proud that they could do that.
    • They planned to pay the two month school fees, ration things for the family and a new dress to the children in the house.
  • 9. Children in the Physically challenged children’s houses giving them what they can
  • 10.
    • The children paid the fees of the poor children to the school.
    • They preserved some money to give to them during school picnic.
  • 11. Step – 4 Sharing
    • The children shared their success story to the school children.
    • The other children were happy with this and took a decision to help the physically challenged children every year at least giving one share of their pocket money to them.
    • The children also planned for these children to provide pick and drop to the school.
    • The children got appreciation from the teachers as well as from the management.
  • 12. A THANKFUL HEART
    • First and fore most we thank GOD for helping us in this successful story.
    • We thank “RIVERSIDE” school for helping us to generate this idea in our school.
    • We thank our school management for giving us the opportunity to carry out this “DESIGN for CHANGE” school contest.
    • We thank everyone who contributed to our success.
    • A special thanks to our colleagues.
