  • 4. THE CHILDREN CAME ACROSS MANY PROBLEMS WHILE INTERMEDIATING THEN ONE OF THEM CAME UP WITH AN IDEA OF HELPING THE POOR CHILDREN. ADDING TO THAT THE OTHERS ALSO SUPPORTED. THEY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT “TO HELP THE POOR CHILDREN IN THE SCHOOL” ITSELF AND SUPPORTING TO THAT THEY ALSO PLANNED TO GO TO THEIR HOUSES AND TALK TO THEM AND STAY WITH THEM FOR SOME TIME AND SHARE THEIR FEELING AND OPINIONS
  • 5. Step – 1 FEEL <ul><li>The children went to the poor children’s House of our own School Children. </li></ul><ul><li>Children interacted with the parents and the children in the house. </li></ul>
  • 6. Step – 2 IMAGINE <ul><li>Children sat together with the teacher mentor and discussed what it means to be a poor. </li></ul><ul><li>Children discussed the problems of the poor children and the problems of the parents facing in their houses. </li></ul><ul><li>The children its self did not eat lunch for one day and came to know the hunger of the poor children. </li></ul>
  • 7. <ul><li>The children had an idea of the problems of the children. </li></ul><ul><li>They came to know how difficulties they face during sickness and illness. </li></ul>
  • 8. Step – 3 DO <ul><li>Children collected the donations from the people around the school as well as near to their houses. </li></ul><ul><li>The children collected nearly Rs. 3500 within three days they were very happy and proud that they could do that. </li></ul><ul><li>They planned to pay the two month school fees, ration things for the family and a new dress to the children in the house. </li></ul>

  • 10. <ul><li>The children paid the fees of the poor children to the school. </li></ul><ul><li>They were very happy to do it. </li></ul><ul><li>They preserved some money to give to them during school picnic. </li></ul>
  • 11. Step – 4 Sharing <ul><li>The children shared their success story to the school children. </li></ul><ul><li>The other children were happy with this and took a decision to help the poor children every year at least giving one share of their pocket money to them. </li></ul><ul><li>The children got appreciation from the teachers as well as from the management. </li></ul>
  • 12. A THANKFUL HEART <ul><li>First and fore most we thank GOD for helping us in this successful story. </li></ul><ul><li>We thank “RIVERSIDE” school for helping us to generate this idea in our school. </li></ul><ul><li>We thank our school management for giving us the opportunity to carry out this “DESIGN for CHANGE” school contest. </li></ul><ul><li>We thank everyone who contributed to our success. </li></ul><ul><li>A special thanks to our colleagues. </li></ul>
