What is Nanotechnology?
Nanotechnology is the design, characterization, production and
application of structures, devices and systems by controlling
shape and size at the nanoscale (NanoDictionary Basel: Collegium Basilea 2005)


We are working at a scale where structures/materials are one
dimension below 100 nm or about 100,000 times smaller than
the width of one human hair!

   It is estimated by some analyst reports
   that 10% of all jobs can be related to
   nanotechnology by 2016

What Functionality Can be Offered?

We work exclusively with equipment manufacturers (including mobile phone
manufacturers)

Normally the goal is not to make the phone last forever (nor to provide protection
from complete immersion)

The goal normally is to protect the electronics from corrosion, so that the phone, etc
return rate for specific countries (eg with high humidity) is reduced to nearly zero
during the warrantee period.

We can provide customised coatings, to extend the corrosion resistance of most
products. If required we can make these completely protected from immersion.
The Characteristics of the Process
                 Coatings using a teflon-like monomers
                 have found widespread applications in
                 electronics

                 The coatings, applied with low pressure
                 plasma systems give the substrate super
                 hydrophobic and oleophobic properties

                 The coatings have become very important
                 in Electronics to protect against water
                 corrosion

                 We offer a complete solution including
                 capital equipment, consumables, together
                 with a unique testing technology to test
                 the coating thickness
Technical Specifications
How can the Coating be Tested?
           We developed a process to test the coating thickness.
           It uses capital equipment that has been designed
           from scratch in-house.
           The coating is uniform (conformal) due to the
           combination of plasma and process.
           The thickness of the coating can be measured on
           each batch of circuits boards treated.
           The coating thickness can be adjusted per batch if
           this is required.
