      • Top 10 Blunders Search Marketing firms make
  1. You see it as a cash injection, your customers see it as a pain. Charging a Setup fee
  2. Offering too many Service Options Okay, you offer a pool of solutions, but you certainly don't want to drown your customers in it.
  3. Having an “unscalable” business model Is your business model adaptable, can it be replicated in different scenarios; if not ,too bad!
  4. Spending more time on new clients than on existing ones Now, need we explain the soaring attrition rate in the SEM industry.
      • Failure to understand a new client's goals
You cannot stop getting requests of “we want to rule the web space” from your clients, but there's nothing more intangible than that.
      • Failure to realize client's goals change over time
Yes, even clients are subject to changing moods. So confirm and reconfirm their demands over time.
  5. Reliance on one 'expert' for all client recommendations God forbid but what if you run out of that expert.....gosh!
  6. Client Information is Sealed Come on,sharing client information with peers never killed anyone.
  7. Turning speaking engagements into Sales Pitches Trust us,nobody wants to hear your “double sworded” theory. They just wish if your speech could refrain from turning into the horrendous sales pitch.
      • If only you could've empowered all your team members....
      • The fear of losing top talent
