Theshow runs from 11am - 6pm on Saturday March 17th and Sunday March18th at The Hove Centre, and admission is FREE to the public! VegfestUKBrighton is packed full of stalls loaded with a vast array of produce includingloads of food, some fantastic bodycare, plenty of fashion items, some of the UK’sleading veggie campaigners and a wealth of information covering all aspects ofthe lifestyle. There’s also some stunning caterers serving up a sublime selectionof sensational dishes, and an awesome display of free samples and tasters frommost of the leading producers of veggie food products. With over 100 stallsthere’s something for everyone, including some genuine savings on a wholehost of products from some major brands such as Nakd, FRY’S, Redwood, Plamil,Goodlife, Yaoh and many more.The main highlight of VegfestUK Brighton is the food - and there are lashings of it.There’s 8 specialist caterers at this year’s event with food ranging from exquisiteLebanese cuisine from K&F Catering to the legendary vegan fish and chips fromSomething Fishy - as well as a chance to buy Redwood burgers and sausagescooked and served in a bun. Ready Steady Chef Welcome to our Ready Steady Chef competitions – weJunior & Masters have two competitions across the weekend; one on Saturday 17th for our Juniors and one on Sunday 18th for our Masters. The format is simple; contestants cook off against each other and have 30 minutes in which to produce their favourite 100% plant-based meal. Our panel of judges will then decide which chefs go through to the final and ultimately which chef is crowned our Ready Steady Chef Champion for 2012. The audience will get chance to participate in the judging of the contest and the competitions will be hosted by our lively compères, including Tony Wardle (Viva!), Karin Ridgers (VeggieVision TV) and Tony Bishop-Weston (Foods For Life). Heats start at 2.30pm and 3.30pm in the main hall on the ground floor on both Saturday and Sunday and the finals will be taking place at 5pm. The Juniors competition is on Saturday and involves young people from the surrounding areas; the Masters competition is on Sunday and involves professional chefs from leading restaurants and cookery schools in the area.
