million in 10 years.
Austin frequently tops many “best
places to live” surveys due to our

Austin and Texas have experienced a

Largest Counties: Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis
and Williamson. Popular Cities: Austin, Bastrop,
Buda, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Georgetown,
Lakeway, Leander, Manor, Pflugerville, Round Rock.
The Average Sales Price in 2007 increased to
$249,543 from $234,601 in 2006. Median Sales
Price in 2007 increased by $10k to $184,040.
Dec.’07 days on market were 78. The 2007
Average Days on Market was 64.

Market Reminders
When a market shifts, the initial turn
can feel shocking. In Oct. ’07, Dee
predicted a stabilization within 3-6
months, which has proven true.
Buyers should purchase during a
“buyer’s market”, when sellers will
be most realistic and willing to
provide incentives.
Austin sellers can sell in 90-120 days
if they price aggressively, use
staging, and price well.
The Austin Market seems to have
picked up in January due to improved
mortgage rates and loan packages.
