  • 15. TOP 1/3 Of YourProfile Says A lotAbout Websites: change the default names “My Website”, YOU. “Company Website” to interesting and relevant titles. Claim your vanity URL; from longer default addressName: Should be the name you want to be searched by contacts and employers to find you. How you want to be identified by your business network worldwide. This is your brand. In short, how do you want people to know you? It could be “CMA StudentTitle: Ambassador” or a position that you hold, or your Student status, or some type of brand statement. This is one case where photo does matter. We will trust you more with a professional photo, thanPhoto: no photo. Your profile becomes real, more believable, if we see who you are. People are not likely to connect / reconnect with you, without a professional photo.
  • 16. DID YOU KNOW? If the company you list for experience has a LinkedIn COMPANY profile with logo, their logo will appear on your profile automatically. But you must list company name exactly as they list it.Andrew gave me permission to pointout a few things I like about his profile:• Nice brief summary that tells me more about who he is.• Notice his “Experience” includes his CMA Student Ambassador Role, and his current position as MBA Student.• This gives him some good ‘corporate / university branding’ logos, high on his profile, instead of having this information buried below in Education.• You will delete the ‘student’ roles and leave them in education area when they are no longer current roles. and you have something to replace them. You have < 1 year to claim your “New Grad University Brand”, use it.
  • 17. Tip You can rearrange the sections of your profile. Most people are familiar with: • Summary • Experience • Honours and Awards • Skills and Endorsements • EducationWHY BECOME A CMA CREATE YOUR CMA PATH CMA PROGRAMS CMA PROFILES MAP YOUR NEXT STEP
  • 18. www.linkedin.com/studentjobs Did Resume builder tool, is built into LinkedIn, you can export your profile as PDF resume. When you join GROUPS, you get access to You all members profiles, and can send them direct messages, even if they aren’t 1st level contacts. LinkedIn will suggest “Jobs you may be Know? interested in”. If these do not reflect your interests you need to modify your profile to be more forward looking – to better describe the direction you want your career to go.WHY BECOME A CMA CREATE YOUR CMA PATH CMA PROGRAMS CMA PROFILES MAP YOUR NEXT STEP
