Strengthening Ties Sunday, September 2, 2007 Initial thoughts re E-Tools at Cluster Meeting Just some interesting stats from cluster meeting. The question was:- Do the following tools have value in your business or teaching practice? Results:- Discovere- Yes (100%) Survey Monkey - Yes (89%) Maybe ( 11%) 2nd Life - Yes (50%), Maybe ( 20%), No(30%) You tube - Yes Yes (59%), Maybe ( 41%) Deli.cious - Yes Yes (100%) Flickr - Yes (73%), Maybe 27%) I will collate the data from Survey Monkey ( post cluster meeting) this week and post on blog site. I have introduced Youtube and Flickr in my computer class. I have used Youtube as a teaching tool finding videos on customer service to use in retail class. Survey Monkey- is easy to use and I like the different layouts and the different question options. See you in Discovere on 3.9.07

getting innovative Sunday, September 23, 2007 Digital Story Telling I facilitated a Digital Story Telling session at a gathering of Literacy Teachers and Coordinators in Wagga.As a group we created our own digital story and discussed how we could use this tool with our students as well as in our own personal lives. I have used it in class and the students get a real buzz particularly when the story is projected onto the big screen for all to see.

Who’s Space? My Space - the final frontier Tuesday, September 18, 2007 e-portflios of PLE Personal Learning Environments What are they? Who are they for? the way we apply for jobs is changing. Are we seeing the fading out of paperbased applications? Do we create a presence on the world wide web? Myspace, Facebook are they more than just social platforms are they spaces for employers to get a feel about us?

Trying something new Facilitating discovere My participated in yesterday's facilitating discovere session. This I found very helpful and feel would be useful in future ventures.
