  • 1. The Benefits of Blended Learning What are the perceived advantages of blended learning?
  • 2. Enables 24/7 access to learning. Learner access content and learning communities wherever and whenever they want. It allows them to dip in and out and choose the best time and place to learn.
  • 3. Supports learning retention over time. Learners have more time to reflect and refer to relevant course materials and other resources than when responding in class.
  • 4. Allows greater participation. Learners participate more freely in discussions because online forums allow all voices to be heard. Learners feel more comfortable online.
  • 5. Reduces time away. Blended learning can mean reducing f2f delivery time, with input and presentations delivered online and assignments and tasks shared via online learning communities.
  • 6. Encourages independent learning. Learners have greater time flexibility, freedom and convenience when learning online.
  • 7. Makes f2f delivery more interactive. Input and presentations can be delivered online, allowing more discussion and interactions between trainers and learners in f2f sessions.
  • 8. Enables the reuse of media assets. Any learning materials and media assets can be used in f2f sessions and delivered online.
  • 9. Allows trainers to monitor progress. Trainers can monitor progress easily and track learner attainment and completion rates.
  • 10. Content is up-to-date. Learners have access to up-to-date resources that trainers can amend and adapt easily and quickly.
