If we take a closer look at the availability of capital sources to themajority of high potential companies but not necessary “one billion dollar” companies, we will see that there are very few real optionsfor raising funds. The Tel Aviv stock exchange is not an option today, basically due to the fact that not even a single IPO took placein the last two years. NASDAQ is looking just for companies generating a huge hype with market cap of $300 million and more. Sowhy not consider the London AIM [Alternative Investment Market] as a real option for an IPO [or flotation)?YES, I know that the AIM is not the first choice for Israeli based companies, usually because of its relatively low liquidity. And Israelibased companies are not the first choice of AIM investors [mainly as a result of very bad experience with many Israeli basedcompanies during 2001-2005]All is true, but I believe that for the right company AIM can be the right solution. There are many most attractive Israeli basedcompanies that have the potential to raise money on the one hand and have the potential to generate a real value to theirshareholders on the other hand. The best candidates for going public on AIM meet one of the following profiles: Profile A - Technology: Sales $10-25m, EBITDA >$2m, Market Cap, $20-100m, IPO $10-25m Profile B – Service/Retail: Sales >100m, EBITDA >$5m, Market Cap, >50m, IPO $>$25mSo.
