  • 2. In this Story…. Master called his servants, and then entrusted them with – ‘according to their ability’ (not ethnicity; not status) given and recognised by God According to the ability– God knew us even before we were born; because He made us ‘fearfully and wonderfully’ (Ps 139: 14); God knew us by name, and knows who we are going to be! Many of us want to do things that others are doing – things that God did not entrust us with, and are not according to our ability.

  • 7. The person with 5-talent returned that which was entrusted and 5 more - did not feel proud or great. The person with 2-talent person reports back to the master in the same way: returned that was entrusted and 2 more. Sadly, the servant with 1-talent did not even try! He wasted opportunity and wasted time. When Settling Time Came… 1 2 3
  • 8. The first & the second received similar commendation / reward they were found to be equally responsible When Settling Time Came… God honoured their faithfulness & allowed them to enter ‘His joy’
  • 9. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw I Corinthians 3: 12-13 says their work will be shown for what it is because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.
  • 10. What about us? Our talents / resources? How do we use them? Are we using them at all?
