The Purpose of Man
2 Corinthians 5.9
Synopsis: The question “Why am I here?” is so common it is almost a
cliche. Sadly, few turn to God’s word to find what He says about why He
created us. Our history shows that when we do our own will, it is
displeasing to God. Solomon reminds us that our purpose is to fear God
and keep His commandments: we must learn to follow God’s will on our
lives to be pleasing to Him. His will includes: 1) Our Sanctification; 2)
Discerning His Will; 3) Doing God; and, 4) Giving Thanks.
