      • Prince Madog ab Owain
      • Gwynedd is reported to have
      • sailed west in two ships in 1170.
      • They supposedly arrived in
      • present day Alabama.
      • Madog returned to Wales &
      • recruited more emigrants. They
      • sailed from Lundy Island in 1171.
