    • The third person singular is formed by adding an s to the base verb.
    • To work He work s
    THE PRESENT SIMPLE : HE - SHE - IT
  • 4. In verbs ending in ss,x,ch,sh,o
    • “ Es ” is added in the third person singular.
    • To dress She dress es
    • To fix He fix es
    • To watch She watch es T.V.
    • To wash She wash es
    • To go It go es !
  • 5. In verbs ending in consonant + y
    • The y changes to “ ies ”
    • To cry He cr ies .
  • 6. The present simple : negative form I, you, we, they don ’ t +base verb He, she , it doesn ’ t+base verb I don ’ t work. You don ’ t work. He doesn ’ t work. She doesn ’ t work. It doesn ’ t work. We don ’ t work. You don ’ t work. They don ’ t work.
