Homestay:
Host family programmes at Abbots Bromley will consist of 5 evening
meals with the family and two at the centre. On teaching days, lunch
will be provided by the college. On the excursion and optional days a
packed lunch will be provided by the family. This homestay will have
5 evening activities at the school and two evenings with the family.
ALDENHAM SCHOOL

Location: Aldenham is in Hertfordshire countryside, north west of London. From
Stanmore tube station it takes students roughly 45 minutes to get into central
London.

Mostly multi-bedded dorms ranging from 2 to 7 bedded rooms.
Two houses. Will split gender by house where possible.
20 singles are available but for Staff and GLs only.

Activities:
The London Experience is as
standard at this site. Meaning
students go into London three
afternoons and two evenings a week,
where they will get to experience
different museums, walks, tours. On
days they do not go into London they
will have the ‘normal’ activity
programme: football, basketball, arts
and crafts etc. (Please note there is
no swimming pool at Aldenham.)

Location: The school is situated rural Yorkshire (boasting 2000 acres of land), it’s around
45 minutes from York.

AMPLEFORTH COLLEGE
10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks
St Mary’s (girls accommodation) and St Hugh’s (boys) are identical
buildings next to each other. The bathrooms are like wet rooms, no cubicle but a shower
curtain.
Accommodation:
Mostly single and twin en-suite rooms. Some quad rooms are available (non en-suite but
their own bathroom directly outside the room). Two houses split between sexes, where
possible.
AMPLEFORTH COLLEGE
10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks
Activities:
Ampleforth also has an overnight London stay. Either at the
end or half way through the students stay they will go on a
trip to London, go on a boat cruise, tour and free time.
Ampleforth offers two professional coaching courses: Tennis and Golf (Supplement payable).
Usual activities are available, being general sports and arts and crafts in the afternoon, and
evening activities including discos and quiz nights.

the town centre.

split by level amongst sexes.

will be ‘taught’ by
means of interactive

We will operate a House system at Dean Close. There will be four houses (not by
accommodation house) promoting healthy competition in all aspects of their stay.
CHELTENHAM HOMESTAY
12-17 year olds Monday 30/06-04/08 5 weeks
Homestay:
We will be running homestay at Cheltenham with two evenings and
dinners at the centre and 5 evenings staying with the family. The
school will provide 5 lunches on the days they attend classes and the
family will provide two packed lunches on the full day excursion and
optional excursion day.

Location: Edinburgh College is just on the edge of the city centre, taking 7 minutes by
train to get to the heart of the city, and only 10 minutes on foot to get to the beach.

EDINBURGH COLLEGE

Accommodation & Catering :
Twin rooms in one building. Sexes will be separated by floor
where possible. The college will provide 5 cooked lunches
but packed lunches on weekends. These will include pasta
pots and salads, not just sandwiches.
EDINBURGH COLLEGE
12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-10/08 6 weeks
Activities:
Edinburgh College will be sold on the Edinburgh and Scottish
experience. Students will travel into Edinburgh three
afternoons and two evenings a week and on their full day trips
go out to explore Scotland. On the two afternoons on site they
go to the beach or park for some sports or do arts and crafts.

Homestay:
Edinburgh College is in the
residential part of Edinburgh.
Homestay students will have
5 evenings with their families
and attend evening activities
and meals twice a week at
the college. Lunches will be
provided by the college on
teaching days and packed
lunches by the families on full
day and optional excursion
days.
FRENSHAM HEIGHTS COLLEGE

Location: Frensham is set in rural Surrey. Close to Guildford, with its nearest
town being Aldershot. It takes just over an hour to get to central London by
coach.
Facilities:

Accommodation:
Frensham has mainly singles and some multi bedded rooms.
No en-suites at all at this site. Sexes are split by wings or
floors.

Activities:
Frensham boasts a performing arts programme, cookery, high ropes and archery
as standard. It will also include professional football coaching as a supplement. It
runs the usual sports and arts and crafts along side these activities.
HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE
HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE
10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks
Location: HLC Harrogate is a stones throw from Harrogate town centre.
Harrogate is a spa town, and has plenty of historical buildings and places to
offer Group Leaders, such as Betty’s Tea Rooms, famous for Afternoon Tea.
Around 30-40 minutes by coach to Leeds and York.
Facilities:
• Large sports hall
• Astroturf pitch
• Student common rooms
• Tennis courts
• Theatre
• Playing fields

HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE
10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks
Accommodation:
Single rooms, doubles, some triples and a couple of 4 and one
5 bedded rooms. Some rooms have cabin beds.

Activities:
HLC offers swimming, football, basketball, afternoons into Harrogate town and
gardens where students can play frisbee golf. HLC students will have an
overnight stay in London as standard, where they will enjoy a boat tour, walking
tours and free time.

10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks
Teaching Supplements:
Trinity Exam Course can be taken at HLC
on two dates: 21/07 and 04/08. It is a two
week course at 15 extra hours English
tuition, preparing students with their topic.
Please keep a note of which
groups/individuals request this, so we can
gauge whether or not we can run the
course. We need a minimum of 10 people
to make it cost effective.
HLC offers a Free Extra English course where students can choose extra lesson
time rather than activities for 4 hours a week.
HARROGATE HOMESTAY
12-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks
Homestay:
HLC will have Homestay in 2014. Students will have five evening meals with their
homestay families and two meals at the college, along with two evening activities.
Typically this will be on the half day excursion and full day trip. Packed lunches to be
provided by families on full day excursion and optional excursion day.

Location: Prior Park is at the top of Ralph Allen Drive. A short distance from the
town and National Trust site. It’s 3 hours away from London and 40 minutes from
Bristol.

PRIOR PARK COLLEGE

Accommodation:
There are two houses which we try to split between girls and
boys. The boys house is predominantly single rooms, a few 4 or
5 bedded rooms. The girls are predominantly multi-bedded
dorms going up to 7 people with several single rooms. No en-
suites.
PRIOR PARK COLLEGE

Activities:
At Prior Park we make use of Bath’s town, by visiting local
attractions two afternoons a week. Also running our usual sports
programme: tennis; basketball; football; arts and crafts. We will
also be running 4 hours Extra English at this site.
BATH HOMESTAY
12-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks
Homestay:
Prior Park will offer a homestay option. Families will be within
walking distance, or will be instructed to take and collect
students from the college. They will eat lunch at the college on
class days, and have two packed lunches provided by the
family. 5 evenings and meals will be with the family and two
evening meals and activities at the College.

Location: Royal Russell is in Croydon, roughly an hour to the centre of London.
A tram link is directly outside of the centre allowing easy access into London for
the London Experience.

Accommodation:
There are 4 houses at RR, which are usually split
by sex. An equal amount of single and multi-
bedded rooms throughout all buildings going up to
6 beds.

Activities:
Royal Russell has the optional London Experience, meaning students can opt for the
London experience and pay a supplement of £45 a week. Royal Russell has
excellent facilities, so those who do not opt to go into London three afternoons and
one evening a week, will have plenty of opportunity to use the sports facilities and
play football, basketball, go swimming and do arts and crafts or design outfits for
fashion shows.
ST. LAWRENCE COLLEGE

Location: St Lawrence is our strongest seaside site also close to London
and historical city Canterbury.

ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE

Accommodation:
There are four houses at St Lawrence. Each
very different. The lowest range is the Grange,
featuring multi-bedded rooms (up to 6 sharing)
and some small singles. Kirby – where we place
our younger students as they are predominantly
5 bedded en-suite rooms. Main House which
runs over 4 floors, divided by sex. These are
mostly multi-bedded en-suite rooms. Then New
Bellerby, which is our premium accommodation,
boasts all en-suites singles and doubles with a
couple 3 and 4 bedded en-suite rooms.
ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE
10-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks
Activities:
At St Lawrence students will have the possibility (weather dependent) to go to
the beach on two afternoons a week, to play beach volley ball, swim and play
beach games. Activities such as football, tennis, basketball, swimming, tag
football run in the afternoons.
HERNE BAY HOMESTAY
12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks
Homestay:
St Lawrence homestay will be in Herne Bay in 2014. 5 lesson days in the family
and 2 evenings at the centre. Lunch will be provided by the centre on lesson
days and packed lunches by the family on full day trips and optional excursion
days. Transport will be run to and from the centre.

ABBOTS BROMLEY SCHOOL 10-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-10/08 5 weeks Location: The school is situated in the village of Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire, which is in the heart of the country and is full of character and history.   • 12. ABBOTS BROMLEY HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-10/08 5 weeks Homestay: Host family programmes at Abbots Bromley will consist of 5 evening meals with the family and two at the centre. On teaching days, lunch will be provided by the college. On the excursion and optional days a packed lunch will be provided by the family. This homestay will have 5 evening activities at the school and two evenings with the family.

  • 14. ALDENHAM SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06–04/08 5 weeks Location: Aldenham is in Hertfordshire countryside, north west of London. From Stanmore tube station it takes students roughly 45 minutes to get into central London. Facilities: • Large Sports Hall • Traditional ‘fives’ courts • All weather AstroTurf • Tennis Courts • Extensive playing fields • Common rooms • Theatre • Student email and internet facilities Traditional Dining Hall Classroom
  • 15. ALDENHAM SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06–04/08 5 weeks Accommodation: Mostly multi-bedded dorms ranging from 2 to 7 bedded rooms. Two houses. Will split gender by house where possible. 20 singles are available but for Staff and GLs only.
  • 16. ALDENHAM SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06–04/08 5 weeks Activities: The London Experience is as standard at this site. Meaning students go into London three afternoons and two evenings a week, where they will get to experience different museums, walks, tours. On days they do not go into London they will have the ‘normal’ activity programme: football, basketball, arts and crafts etc. (Please note there is no swimming pool at Aldenham.)
  • 18. AMPLEFORTH COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Location: The school is situated rural Yorkshire (boasting 2000 acres of land), it’s around 45 minutes from York. Facilities: • 25 meter swimming pool • All weather astro turf pitch • Large sports hall • Tennis courts • Extensive playing fields • Golf course • Well equipped classrooms Outdoor Tennis Courts The Windmill Function Room
  • 19. AMPLEFORTH COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks St Mary’s (girls accommodation) and St Hugh’s (boys) are identical buildings next to each other. The bathrooms are like wet rooms, no cubicle but a shower curtain. Accommodation: Mostly single and twin en-suite rooms. Some quad rooms are available (non en-suite but their own bathroom directly outside the room). Two houses split between sexes, where possible.
  • 20. AMPLEFORTH COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Activities: Ampleforth also has an overnight London stay. Either at the end or half way through the students stay they will go on a trip to London, go on a boat cruise, tour and free time. Ampleforth offers two professional coaching courses: Tennis and Golf (Supplement payable). Usual activities are available, being general sports and arts and crafts in the afternoon, and evening activities including discos and quiz nights.
  • 22. DEAN CLOSE SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06-04/08 5 weeks Location: Dean Close is in Cheltenham, a historical spa town, located just outside the town centre. Facilities: • Swimming pool • New sports hall • Squash courts • Cricket Nets and pitches • Astro turf pitches • Extensive playing fields • Tennis courts • Professional theatre Indoor Sports Hall Professional Theatre
  • 23. DEAN CLOSE SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06-04/08 5 weeks Accommodation: Some singles (at supplement) mostly doubles and multi-bedded rooms. Semi en-suites are available meaning one bathroom between two rooms (two people sharing or 4 in the case of two double semi-en- suite rooms). Four houses, split by level amongst sexes.

DEAN CLOSE SCHOOL 11-17 year olds Monday 30/06-04/08 5 weeks Activities: Free Extra English is included at this site. 4 hours of English will be ‘taught’ by means of interactive English – not necessarily in the classroom. We will operate a House system at Dean Close. There will be four houses (not by accommodation house) promoting healthy competition in all aspects of their stay.

CHELTENHAM HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Monday 30/06-04/08 5 weeks Homestay: We will be running homestay at Cheltenham with two evenings and dinners at the centre and 5 evenings staying with the family. The school will provide 5 lunches on the days they attend classes and the family will provide two packed lunches on the full day excursion and optional excursion day.

EDINBURGH COLLEGE 12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-10/08 6 weeks Location: Edinburgh College is just on the edge of the city centre, taking 7 minutes by train to get to the heart of the city, and only 10 minutes on foot to get to the beach. Facilities: • Professional Theatre • Art studios • Large grounds • Modern computer rooms • Music recording studio • Video editing room • Student common rooms Onsite Leisure Centre Swimming Pool
  • 28. EDINBURGH COLLEGE 12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-10/08 6 weeks Accommodation & Catering : Twin rooms in one building. Sexes will be separated by floor where possible. The college will provide 5 cooked lunches but packed lunches on weekends. These will include pasta pots and salads, not just sandwiches.
  • 29. EDINBURGH COLLEGE 12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-10/08 6 weeks Activities: Edinburgh College will be sold on the Edinburgh and Scottish experience. Students will travel into Edinburgh three afternoons and two evenings a week and on their full day trips go out to explore Scotland. On the two afternoons on site they go to the beach or park for some sports or do arts and crafts.
  • 30. EDINBURGH HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-10/08 6 weeks Homestay: Edinburgh College is in the residential part of Edinburgh. Homestay students will have 5 evenings with their families and attend evening activities and meals twice a week at the college. Lunches will be provided by the college on teaching days and packed lunches by the families on full day and optional excursion days.
  • 32. FRENSHAM HEIGHTS COLLEGE 11-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Location: Frensham is set in rural Surrey. Close to Guildford, with its nearest town being Aldershot. It takes just over an hour to get to central London by coach. Facilities: • Large Sports Hall • Tennis courts • New performing arts theatre • All weather sports pitch • Playing field • Student Common areas High Ropes Course All Weather Sports Pitch
  • 33. FRENSHAM HEIGHTS COLLEGE 11-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Accommodation: Frensham has mainly singles and some multi bedded rooms. No en-suites at all at this site. Sexes are split by wings or floors.
  • 34. FRENSHAM HEIGHTS COLLEGE 11-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Activities: Frensham boasts a performing arts programme, cookery, high ropes and archery as standard. It will also include professional football coaching as a supplement. It runs the usual sports and arts and crafts along side these activities.
  • 36. HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks Location: HLC Harrogate is a stones throw from Harrogate town centre. Harrogate is a spa town, and has plenty of historical buildings and places to offer Group Leaders, such as Betty’s Tea Rooms, famous for Afternoon Tea. Around 30-40 minutes by coach to Leeds and York. Facilities: • Large sports hall • Astroturf pitch • Student common rooms • Tennis courts • Theatre • Playing fields • Specialist Art Studio Art Studio School Sign Post
  • 37. HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks Accommodation: Single rooms, doubles, some triples and a couple of 4 and one 5 bedded rooms. Some rooms have cabin beds.

HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks Activities: HLC offers swimming, football, basketball, afternoons into Harrogate town and gardens where students can play frisbee golf. HLC students will have an overnight stay in London as standard, where they will enjoy a boat tour, walking tours and free time.   • 39. HLC HARROGATE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks Teaching Supplements: Trinity Exam Course can be taken at HLC on two dates: 21/07 and 04/08. It is a two week course at 15 extra hours English tuition, preparing students with their topic. Please keep a note of which groups/individuals request this, so we can gauge whether or not we can run the course. We need a minimum of 10 people to make it cost effective. HLC offers a Free Extra English course where students can choose extra lesson time rather than activities for 4 hours a week.
  • 40. HARROGATE HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Monday 07/07-18/08 6 weeks Homestay: HLC will have Homestay in 2014. Students will have five evening meals with their homestay families and two meals at the college, along with two evening activities. Typically this will be on the half day excursion and full day trip. Packed lunches to be provided by families on full day excursion and optional excursion day.
  • 42. PRIOR PARK COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Location: Prior Park is at the top of Ralph Allen Drive. A short distance from the town and National Trust site. It’s 3 hours away from London and 40 minutes from Bristol. Facilities: • Playing fields • Tennis Courts • Cricket Pitch • Heated indoor swimming pool • Sports hall • Spacious theatre • Astro turf School Crest Landscape Gardens Classroom
  • 43. PRIOR PARK COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Accommodation: There are two houses which we try to split between girls and boys. The boys house is predominantly single rooms, a few 4 or 5 bedded rooms. The girls are predominantly multi-bedded dorms going up to 7 people with several single rooms. No en- suites.
  • 44. PRIOR PARK COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Activities: At Prior Park we make use of Bath’s town, by visiting local attractions two afternoons a week. Also running our usual sports programme: tennis; basketball; football; arts and crafts. We will also be running 4 hours Extra English at this site.
  • 45. BATH HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Monday 07/07-11/08 5 weeks Homestay: Prior Park will offer a homestay option. Families will be within walking distance, or will be instructed to take and collect students from the college. They will eat lunch at the college on class days, and have two packed lunches provided by the family. 5 evenings and meals will be with the family and two evening meals and activities at the College.
  • 47. ROYAL RUSSELL SCHOOL 10-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Location: Royal Russell is in Croydon, roughly an hour to the centre of London. A tram link is directly outside of the centre allowing easy access into London for the London Experience. Facilities: • Swimming pool • Tennis courts • Basketball courts • Football pitches • Large sports hall • Theatre • Playing fields • Woodland Indoor Swimming Pool Tennis Courts
  • 48. ROYAL RUSSELL SCHOOL 10-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Accommodation: There are 4 houses at RR, which are usually split by sex. An equal amount of single and multi- bedded rooms throughout all buildings going up to 6 beds.

ROYAL RUSSELL SCHOOL 10-17 year olds Sunday 06/07-17/08 6 weeks Activities: Royal Russell has the optional London Experience, meaning students can opt for the London experience and pay a supplement of £45 a week. Royal Russell has excellent facilities, so those who do not opt to go into London three afternoons and one evening a week, will have plenty of opportunity to use the sports facilities and play football, basketball, go swimming and do arts and crafts or design outfits for fashion shows.
  • 51. ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks Location: St Lawrence is our strongest seaside site also close to London and historical city Canterbury. Facilities: • Football pitch • Cricket pitch • Swimming pool • New theatre • Tennis courts • Large sports hall • Hockey pitch • Billiard and table tennis tables Residence Building Indoor Sports Hall
  • 52. ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks Accommodation: There are four houses at St Lawrence. Each very different. The lowest range is the Grange, featuring multi-bedded rooms (up to 6 sharing) and some small singles. Kirby – where we place our younger students as they are predominantly 5 bedded en-suite rooms. Main House which runs over 4 floors, divided by sex. These are mostly multi-bedded en-suite rooms. Then New Bellerby, which is our premium accommodation, boasts all en-suites singles and doubles with a couple 3 and 4 bedded en-suite rooms.

ST LAWRENCE COLLEGE 10-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks Activities: At St Lawrence students will have the possibility (weather dependent) to go to the beach on two afternoons a week, to play beach volley ball, swim and play beach games. Activities such as football, tennis, basketball, swimming, tag football run in the afternoons.
  • 54. HERNE BAY HOMESTAY 12-17 year olds Sunday 29/06-17/08 7 weeks Homestay: St Lawrence homestay will be in Herne Bay in 2014. 5 lesson days in the family and 2 evenings at the centre. Lunch will be provided by the centre on lesson days and packed lunches by the family on full day trips and optional excursion days. Transport will be run to and from the centre.
