  2. 2. Quick Recap on Starting a Business Account<br />1. You must have a personal account. Facebook requires a person to be associated with a <br />Business. This way if Facebook needs to contact the business, they have a point of reference.<br />2. Log into your personal facebook account.<br />3. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and look for “Create a Page”<br />4. Click “create a page” and follow the directions. <br />

Search Bar<br />The Search Bar method is pretty self explanatory…<br />Simply type the name of the person, or business that you are trying to find.<br />The matches will appear as you type.<br />If you do not see what you are looking for after finishing typing, click “See more results for… <br />

You must click on the friends you want to send the recommendation to. <br />3. Then simply click the Send button.<br />4. Each time I do this I have new friends, so it is not bad to do this every once in a while<br />

Use Facebook as Page<br />When you have a business page you can do facebook activities AS that business.<br />In the top right corner of your page go to the Account drop-down.<br />Find Use Facebook as Page<br />And select the business page. <br />Benefits of this would be…. <br />Your business can “like” other businesses.<br />You can comment AS your business instead of yourself. <br />

What Can I Do to Use Facebook for business<br />If you have a blog, you can feed it to your business account.<br />If you have a newsletter, you can add a link to sign up on facebook.<br />You should have a Vanity URL if you want to easily direct people to your business facebook.<br />You can add your Facebook URL to your email signature and website.<br />Post business updates on your business account, AND share on the LTBRN Facebook.<br />Upcoming projects<br />Sales<br />Fundraisers<br />New Products<br />Changes such as hours or holiday closures<br />“Like” other LTBRN posts<br />You can share useful articles (i.e. Way2Tahoe info etc…)<br />Use Facebook Places so your customers can check-in<br />Share survey results or research data<br />10. The average facebook user has 130 friends and uses their account EVERYDAY. That means your active audience is the number of “likes” you have multiplied by 130.<br />
