Return on Investment: 2011 Commercial Development:  Karamel Kreations  A&L Accessories  Summer Hokkaido  Beer Engine  Club Carbon  Liquor Barn  Dollar General (downtown) Tourism Development:  Total travel expenditures increased 9.2%  Hotel tax receipts increased 9.1%  Facilitated Danville’s #4 ranking among the “25 Best Places to Retire” in US by Money magazine  Support for first Kentucky State BBQ Festival, attracting 25,000 to downtown Danville

Underway in 2012 . . . Industrial:  New: Venture Industries (Junction City) – 12 new jobs, $2oo,000  Expansion: Green Boiler Technologies – 27 jobs, $365,000  Pipeline: 8 new industrial projects Commercial:  Cheddar’s: Projected timeline—closing in Dec ‘12 or Jan ‘13, construction in Mar ‘13, open by mid to late summer ’13  Burkes Outlet (clothing retailer, Danville Manor)  Orange Leaf (downtown frozen yogurt shop)  The Clotheshorse (downtown clothier)  Karamel Kreations (relocation; adding production)  Elmwood Inn Fine Teas (relocation)  Rincon Latino (3rd Street grocery)  Fresh Ledger (downtown office location)  Long Run Apartments ($1 mil rehab)

Underway in 2012 . . . Tourism:  Rand McNally/USA Today “Best of the Road” finalist for Most Beautiful Small Town in America  “Small Town Flavor” production of web-based travel feature on Danville/Perryville, to be released Fall 2012  Facilitated local production of History Channel’s “American Pickers”, filmed at Pioneer Playhouse  Assisting the 2nd Kentucky State BBQ Festival at Constitution Square  Preparation for the 150th Battle of Perryville Commemoration & VP Debate hosted by Centre College
