  • Is it possible to introduce fairtrade standards for biomass, starting with jatropha, as a source for renewable energy, in first instance electricity.
    Initiative of Eneco. Third biggest energy company in the Netherlands. Production, transmission and supply of electricity, gas, heat and related services. Two million customers, domestic ones as well as large, small and medium size businesses.
    Gets its energy from several production locations and from general purchases. In addtition they participate in several projects for sustainable energy generation.
    First phase of the feasibiltiy study is now finalised. Basically desk research. We’ll present the results in a small paper to the Board, in March.
