Why DSM?

- Translate user benefits into material requirements

Best in class R&D organization driving breakthrough innovation

Proven track record of green materials

Together with industry experts and designers we developed 3 concepts to illustrate relevant product properties for food packaging.

We tested these food packaging concepts; based on the user benefits of our material, amongst brand owners in the FMCG value chain

Example:
 5. 5. Be inspired by these concepts: Self Closing Bag APPLICATION Staple goods, dosing, cereals. No box needed, no mess in the cupboard. USE Can be easily opened many times; once opened, the bag stays open. When closing, the bag automatically curls up using highly flexible plastic, sealing the content and minimizing storage space. Suitable for microwave.
 6. 6. Be inspired by these concepts: Individual Serving Tray APPLICATION Snacks, ready to eat meals, small bread rolls, frozen or chilled. USE The tray has different individual compartments, each holding for example a bread roll. The tray can be rolled-up and stored in the freezer. The nr. of bread rolls needed can be cut off and placed in the oven; the bio-oil inside gives the product a crispy crust.
 7. 7. Be inspired by these concepts: Pop-up Pack APPLICATION Pizza and other ready to eat meals, creating a more real cooking experience. USE The packaging reveals the shape of the product, can be put in the oven, and when ready for consumption the Pop-up Pack pops open to release the scent of the content.
 8. 8. How can we join forces to innovate on food packaging?

Do you have innovative ideas for food packaging?

Do you know what the next generation of food packaging should be?

Are you open to speed up your packaging innovations?

Are you interested in learning what our green materials can do for you?

Let’s inspire each other and co-create!
