But Has the Tide Turned – Is the Recession Over?
There is optimism that the economy has moved from recession into recovery…
The U.S. economy grew at a 3.5 percent pace in the third quarter, the best showing in two years. It's the strongest signal yet that the economy has entered a new, though fragile, phase of recovery.
There is a growing belief among financial experts that the recession is over.
Barry Knapp, a strategist at Barclays Capital, wrote recently that the economy appears "to be in the sweet spot of a recovery.“
Gross domestic product in the third quarter is now expected to show 2.4% growth and the fact that the jobless rate fell for the first time in 15 months, suggests the worst is over.

Title: Production Output Quality
Defined: The number of [units] rejected by quality inspection processes PLUS the number of [units] returned and classified as defective DIVIDED by the number of units produced each month. Returns will count in the month of the sale.
Measured: The ERP tracks quality inspection process rejects and returns. Data will be collected on a daily basis and rolled up for monthly comparisons. Operations will post graphs of this report in the break room by the 5th business day of each month.
Target: Red > 5% | Yellow 3% to 5 % | Green < 3% | Super < 1%
