  • 1. Private Service Career Assessment Questions When planning for a career, it is important to understand not only where you want to go, but where you have been, what skills you possess and what you need to learn. These questions and the subsequent skills assessment will help you answer these critical questions. In addition to the reflection questions, there are sections that will help you identify key factors that employers recognize when you want to advance your career. For example, employers pay attention to new education or being involved in professional associations. It is also important to start tracking your accomplishments; this way, when it is time to prepare a new resume, you won’t have to scramble to find that data.
