The Mining and Engineering CentreThe Mining and Engineering CentreThe $38.3 million Mining and Engineering Centre is a major new training facility to bebuilt at TAFE SA’s Regency Campus at Regency Park.The Mining and Engineering Centre will be a centre for training excellence to supportgrowth in the mining, engineering, advanced manufacturing, transport and defenceindustries.New features include• Applied Research Facility• Industry Demonstration and Engagement Facility• Student centred learning common and administration hub• Flexible training methods including on-the-job, e-learning and on campus delivery
Development The centre will completed by July 2014. Development will occur over three phasesPhase 1• Construction of an additional car park• Rebuilding of the Mechanical, Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication Engineering School workshop and lecture areas• Part development of student centred learning common and administration hub
DevelopmentPhase 2• Construction of the Land Information and Management Systems and Geoscience workshops and laboratory• New building construction for the Heavy Vehicle areas• Part redevelopment of the Light Vehicle areaPhase 3• Completion of the light vehicle workshops and lecture facilities including integration with heavy vehicle facilities• Completion of a student centred learning common and administration hub with new student entry points to the Centre
