      • To create healthy future generation by eliminating the problem of obesity among school children
  • 6. IMAGINE
    • The school getting lot of prizes in sports activities .
    • We imagine having children with good physique in our school.
    • To reduce junk food among the younger generation .
  • 7. DO’s
    • To reach this goal , we have provided food chart to school students.
    • Topics on food and nutrition in curriculum is included.
  • 8.
    • Physical education classes is imparted everyday.
    • Extra - curricular activities is introduced where more agility is involved
  • 9.
    • Children coming by bicycle to school is encouraged .
  • 10.
    • Sale of chat items, cheese balls , soft drinks and high calorie snacks in school canteen is banned .
  • 11.
    • To reach our goal we have provided food chart to students. We have instructed the students to increase the consumption of fruits & vegetables as well as legumes, whole grains and nuts and limit their intake of sugars and toffees.
  • 12. FOOD CHART
    • MONDAY - Vegetable salad
    • TUESDAY - Sprouted cereals
    • WEDNESDAY - Egg / Sundal of chenna,moong dhal, peas, Soya chunk etc.
    • THURSDAY - Greens and Dhal
    • FRIDAY - Fresh fruits / Fruit Juice/ Fruit
    • salad Along with their regular meals.
  • 13. SCHOOL GYM Kids Gym

    • To burn the calories used, student’s physical activity is boosted. 30 minutes of regular exercise in gym , yoga , skating etc. is encouraged.

    • The 400 mts track in the school is busy in the morning hours for running and other athletic practices .The school has announced that all obese students reducing 2 to 3 kg of their weight in six months time will be given a special recognition.

    • The students will be presented with a pair of sports shoes.For this purpose month wise weight is also taken for the obese students and a chart is maintained .

    • From the data collected we found the homemakers say that their kids prefer fast food over home cooked food.The parents also opt for branded packaged food as it is convenient.

    • Another reason found was that these students live in a nuclear family setup .Most of their mothers are career oriented hence readymade food items are preferred.

    • From the statistical data collected we have understood the younger students in the school are more in number in overweight as well as in obese compared to the elder students.

    • As a value addition the school has also purchased an electronic digital weighing scale

    • In the parents meeting dietician have been invited to speak about the importance of having balanced food for their children

    • In due course we have decided to reduce the obese students in the primary level by maintaining the chart to check their weight .
