  • ‘ Save water campaign’ Our story of Change from Satya Bharti School Budhakhera ,District Kaithal , Haryana. Students of 4 th & 5 th class. Mentor Teacher : Mr. Sushil Kumar.
  • Satya Bharti School Budhakhera is a primary school of Bharti Foundation. It was established in 2008. Geographical Location : –Village Budhakhera in a progressive village of our area. It is located at a distance of 17kms from District Headquarter Kaithal, Haryana • Cultural Background : –Major population belongs to General, OBC & SC Category - Village have a strong political & economic status in District – Agriculture is the main source of income.   • Feel
    • One day the water supply of the village stopped due to the technical problem in the water works department. There was no water supply in several houses to take bath, wash clothes, to cook, drink or even use toilets.
    • So most of us in the school had not taken bath on that day. Suddenly one of us said, “what we shall do if the water supply will not start tomorrow.
    • A boy out of us replied that this is going to be very hard if the water supply did not resume soon. Me and my brother shall go to the farm in the evening for taking bath and to fetch drinking water for the home use as we don’t have water for washing the clothes and other home usages.
    • A girl told that they had no water for their animals also.
    • A boy said that we shall save the water for next day use in the future.

    • A boy said that one day I asked my father to put a tap in the water pipe he asked me to go and do my work .
    • A girl said that in our street many people have no taps in their water pipes and they waste the water by washing the vehicles with the pipe and for cleaning the street.
    • They decided that they shall try to tell their parents to save the water in group.

    • We decided that we shall go to the community to tell the people about the importance of water in their life.
    • We decided that we shall run a campaign in village.
    • Our campaign ‘ Save water campaign’ .
    • we choose our group leader and try to make strategy for the campaign, how we shall work for the campaign.

    • We decided to make charts and hand made banners to display our slogans ( Water is life, save water).

    • We decided to march past in the village in a group with hand made banners for inspiring the people to save water.

    • We went in the village and tried to motivate the villagers to save water for the future and tried to tell, how much important is water for us in our life by a role play named ‘Jal Hai To Kal Hai’.

    • On the same day we talked to the people to put the taps on their water pipes and to arrange some taps for the public stand posts in the village.

    • On the next day we again went in the village for the campaign .We were happy to see that many people were having taps to give them to us for the public stand posts in the village.

    • Then we put the taps in the public stand posts and in many other places to stop the wastage of water.
    • People also supported us and appreciate our work .

    • We think that we are working for our future need of water and the people of the village supported us and take the oath not to waste the water and to save water as much as they can.
