Context : We are facing a paradigm shift in Brazil. Given the increasingly aging population, old service models needs to be revised. The government must find a way of management that meets this growing population segment.. Aging population  Requires a structural change in the provision of services within society. Research focus: Rio de Janeiro

Project: d esign better ways to serve the elderly seeking better quality of life and well being. Initial method: survey data on existing public and private services in Rio de Janeiro focusing on the elderly. Proposal: Service innovation and redesign.

Design role :
develop services to enable elderly to autonomously manage its own condition and care;
ensure the maintenance of the elderly in its home and local community (deinstitutionalization);
