The researchproject is called "Digital Futures in Teacher Education" and its aim is todevelop online resources for teachers which will help them improve the digitalliteracy skills of pupils. On 18th June 2012, the researchers from Sheffield Hallam University would liketo come into the school and talk to the children participating in the XXXXXevent. We would like to record these conversations and we would also like totake photographs and videos of children during the event. All recordings willbe stored in a safe space. The researchers will want to use selected recordingsand videos for the case studies which are developed on the basis of our workwith the schools in the "Digital Futures in Teacher Education" project. It is alsolikely that the researchers will want to use excerpts from the recordings andvideos when they share this work with other academics and teachers forinstance at conferences and through publications. Any other recordings will bedeleted once all the data has been analysed.I am therefore writing to you to ask if you are happy for your child to beinvolved. If you are happy for your child to participate, please complete the formoverleaf and return to [name of teacher].If you have any questions about the project please contact XXXX or emailproject manager Anna Gruszczynska at a.gruszczynska@shu.ac.ukThis content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0UK: England & Wales http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/uk/ 1
