  • 4. Diets designed for gout must be able to reduce uric acid level,dissolve urate crystals and excrete them out of the body.
  • 5. A properly planned uric acid dietgives the best result for gout attacks.
  • 6. A uric acid diet aims tominimize the amount of purines taken in your food.
  • 7. Avoid eating seafood and red meat, included are shrimp, crab, scallop, clam and oyster which are high in purine content.
  • 8. Some vegetables like cauliflower, mushrooms, asparagus and spinach mustbe used in moderation because of their purine content.
  • 9. Low fat dairy products are good for gout patients because of the low purine and high calcium contents.
