  • DESIGN MUSEUM TWITTERThe Design Museum has aninternational Twitter following: 61% -the highest of the Culture 24benchmarked museums andgalleries. We suspected they werekeen for more content andengagement: what to do? Get anoctogenarian Dutch graphic designerto do a live Q+A on Twitter. This iswhat we learnt.
  • 1. Anyone can tweet – they just need an assistant (or two)
  • 2. Ask for questions in advance to keep the ball rollingon the day, make a note of these.3. Trail takeover and @ relevant Twitterers and advertiseon your website in advance and even onsite!4. Make a note of how many followers you had before youstart the takeover for evaluation5. Use a hashtag eg. #CrouwelChat6. Reply with the question included7. Post photographs on Twitter of the Q+A to bring it to life8. Cut and paste the Q+A into word to archive
  • 9. Make sure that your colleagues are not on Facebookin the Twitpic
