  6. 6. Roughly 200,000 women can call themselves a NCAA athlete
  7. 7. Volleyball Basketball Swimming Track & field water polo Golf Cheerleading Lacrosse Softball Gymnastics Ice Hockey Rowing Diving
  8. 8. How many “daily-sports” calories are they burning?
  9. 9. Basketball: 350 calories per hour
  10. 10. Volleyball: 489 calories per hour
  11. 11. Swimming: 630 calories per hour
  12. 12. Softball: 279 calories per hour
  13. 13. Golf: 244 calories per hour
  14. 14. But what are they eating?
  15. 15. Away games means lots of time on the road.
  16. 16. Time on the road, usually means “Fast Food.”
  17. 17. Caloric Representation: • 1 Large fries= 1.5 hours of basketball • 1 Nachos Bel Grande= 3 hours of golf • 1 Whopper= 1.5 hours of volleyball • 1 Tuna foot long= 3.7 hours of softball

  35. 35. -Seminars -Presentations -Pre-season meetings -Pamphlets -TALKING about it
  36. 36. Be someone they can talk to
