4. The Greek Gods and Goddesses were very prevalent in Ancient
Greece. It’s believes that these Gods and Goddesses were the
ancient Greek’s attempt at understanding the natural and
scientific world phoneme. Some Gods and Goddesses are
extremely well known, such as Poseidon (God of the Seas) and
Venus/Aphrodite (Goddess of Love). Other Gods and Goddesses
aren’t as popular and considered “minor” Gods (such as Iris, the
Goddess of Rainbows). None the less, all of the Gods and
Goddesses played an important role in civilization.

6. There’s many other creatures that often interacted with the
Gods and Goddesses in their stories. Sometimes demi-gods
(half-gods, half humans) were involved in Greek mythos and
were often depicated as the Gods and Goddesses bastard
children. Some were malicious beings, like the Titans, while
others competed with the Gods and Goddesses in a variety
of competitions. Some examples of creatures that were
included: minotaurs (half bull half human), nymphs(spirit
often depicted as a beautiful woman), Ceberus (3-headed
guard dog to the under world), cyclops (one eyed beast),
Cenotaurs (half horse, half human), Satyrs (half men, half
goats), etc…

and Wisdom), built by Phidias, destroyed by Persians in 480 BC
and later rebuilt
•Supposedly, the Greek Gods Athena and Poseidon competed to
be the “head deity” of the city. Poseidon presented the city with
beautiful horses, while Athena presented the city with the olive
tree, Athena won the contest and thus, the city was named after
her (Athens)
