    • OUTSIDE BETSWhen placing an outside bet you are notplaying any of the options available on theinside section of the betting table.Outside bets are all bets made in thedesignated areas located outside the numbersarea on the betting table. The only otherbetting area considered as a non-outside-betting area is the call bet area which will beexamined later.
    • OUTSIDE BETSThere a number of outside bets that you need to beaware of before being able to call yourself a‘complete’ roulette player. One thing that you needto keep in mind is that outside bets obligate playersto place minimum wagers larger than those of anynumber/inside bets.In Microgaming’s Premiere Roulette, the minimumoutside bet is set at 1.75 – you can review this rulefor yourself by hovering over any outside bet withyou mouse’s pointer.
    • COLOUR BETSRed/Black bets are some of the easiest bets that anyonecan place on the roulette table. The bet is well known andself-explanatory: you bet on the ball to land on a black orred pocket, thus attaining even odds if your guess iscorrect. Most players tend to think that red/black betsare 50/50 bets, meaning that they have an even chanceto complete a win against the casino. However, with the presence of a 0 on the wheel, thehouse ends up possessing a slight edge over the player;this in the long run means that the casino will end theultimate winner, as with all other known casino games
    • ODD OR EVEN BETSOdd/Even bets function identically to Red/Blackbets since there is an equal amount of oddnumbers versus even numbers. Again, theattendance of the zero will give the house aslight edge over the players’.
    • DOZEN BETSDozens bets are made over 12 successivenumbers on the roulette layout. You will be ableto recognize these outside bets by the allotted1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12 sectors on the table. The odds of dozens bets pay 2-to-1 if winners.
    • COLUMN BETSColumn bets too involve 12 numbers from theroulette layout, but only this time the numbersare not sequential as with dozens bets. You canplace column bets at the end of each columnlocated abreast the numbers 34, 35 and 36.Column bets pay identical odds as dozens betsand are set at a minimum of 1.75 coins.
    • LOW OR HIGH BETS These bets are very similar to dozens bets, only you get to bet on more numbers at a time – half to be exact. These bets are even bets and are very similar to Black/Red and Odd/Even bets.
