  • ADP JOB -You can search for a job of your choice, just simply type in the title of the job or a keyword and then your location. After selecting the job that suits you, go ahead and apply for the position. If you know someone who maybe interested in the job, you can simply share the link with them. “But can you really get hired though facebook?”
  • Facebook Hires - lets meet few people that ADP hired through facebook.. Patrick – How worked his way up to be a district manager Grady – An implementation specialist Stephanie – An insurance account executive
  • Events -Another cool feature that’s on ADP Careers pages is the events tab. You can view any local events that’s scheduled and the details of the event. See who is attending and you can also choose to attend the events.
  • Resumes -You can post your resume up on Craig’s List, and when employers browse through the collection, and if they like what they see they will get in contact with you via Craig’s List email.Gigs -Most gigs are unpaid and preformed to gain experience. There are a verity gigs available, some gigs may be a one time event and you are compensated in crash. Jobs -In Craig's List you can find jobs anywhere from general labor to engineering, full-time and or part-time. If you have all the necessary qualifications and a resume, all you need to do is reply to the post with your resume and wait for the interview. Internships -You can also find internships on Craig’s List. In a category under the job section you can narrow your search only to show internships. You can simply reply to the post with your resume and the requested information in the post.Safety & Scam -Just like most online networking sites, Craig’s List also has its disadvantages. One of the main drawbacks is scams and spams. Under the gigs section anyone can post anything so remember to always do your research. When posting up your resume leave out your home address and phone number, a valid email is enough. You should never do business in your home or let a stranger in to your home for any reason. Basically if it is too good to be true its probably not true. I personally…

    Tips For Effectively Utilizing LinkedIn:
    • Do not attempt to connect with a LinkedIn user that you share absolutely no connection with. Do make contact with people your current connections know via the Introductions tool.
    • Create an informative profile headline.
    • Be sure that your Summary Statement is upbeat, informative, clear, and concise.
    • Be sure that your Specialties section includes keywords.
    • Show off your high GPA and any honors or awards.
    • Set your LinkedIn profile to “public” and create a unique URL, for example: www.linkedin.com/in/yourname.
    • Maintain current recommendations.
    • Post a video of yourself speaking or presenting. Add work samples to your LinkedIn profile. Upload your résumé.
    • Update/ “spiff up” your profile every six to nine months.
    • If you can provide valid, useful feedback, reply to other user’s questions via the Answers page in the More section.
    • Update your status at least once a week, but be sure to only post professional, relevant updates.
    • Join LinkedIn groups and display your connections with LinkedIn Group badges.

  • IV. Online Networking Etiquette:“Netiquette”
Why is proper netiquette so critical?
“Job Seekers should always remember that during face to face interaction with Recruiters, body language,
eye contact and non-verbal communication reinforces good manners. However, when networking online,
and applying to online job adverts, these factors are absent and success is solely reliant on the way in
which you conduct yourself online.” (“Top Etiquette Tips for Online Job Seekers”).
