Council members receive award
PHOENIX, ARIZONA – At the National Association for Information Destruction’s
(NAID) annual conference in Grapevine, Texas, members of the association’s
Complaint Resolution Council (CRC) were presented with the 2014 Member of the
Year Award.
The NAID Executive Committee awarded the following members for the hard work and
dedication in protecting NAID and NAID members.
• Cory Tomczyk (chairman), IROW in Monisee, Wisconsin
• Brock Miller, CSDS, AccuShred NW in Gresham, Oregon
• David Rhoads, SureShred in Hayward, California
• Gina Lentine, CSDS, Assure Shred in Ringoes, New Jersey
• Joseph Harford, CSDS, Reclamere, Inc. in Tyrone, Pennsylvania
• Robert Gaspard, Security Mobile Shredding, Inc. in Alexandria,
Louisiana
CRC members were recognized during the annual business luncheon at the
conference.
The CRC is responsible for evaluating and making recommendations to the Board of
Directors regarding alleged violation of the association’s code of ethics. Complaints
are accepted from members, non-members and consumers. These ethical complaints
range from trademark infringement to improperly disposing of information. Members of
this committee meet monthly to hear the cases, discuss the complaints, and
recommend appropriate action to the NAID Board of Directors.
“Due to NAID’s proactive position on ethic enforcement, these industry professionals
often meet for hours at a time several times a month when required,” said NAID
President Steve Richards, CSDS, of Richards & Richards in Nashville, Tennessee.
“And, due to the sensitive nature of what they do, they are often talking to members
who aren’t very happy at the time. This is a well-deserved and hard earned award.”
